February 24, 2018

Prayer is not passive.  Prayer is Active.

People of God are called to stand in-between.

Abraham pleaded with God for the people of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. His prayer was active and he was intentional in putting himself in the gap.

506 Story of Trusting 4

February 23, 2018

"We live in a two extremes in a culture.  One of them is shotgun shooting, truck driving, trucker hat wearing, 'Get me my sandwich culture'.  And the other is 'Whatever you want honey.' That's our culture.  And as soon as some godly principle begins to be talked about, and we begin to talk about what God maybe actually calls you to be... we 'Oh, I don't know."  And we are living in the repercussions of that.

Abraham shirked his responsibility in the waiting.  This is a good challenge to men and women and the counter culture roles that God has called you to.

December 15, 2017

Text: Ephesians 2:11 - 18

“It was enough that we knew that the Incarnation is God’s amazing gift of love and we cannot explain it.  When we try to explain it we lose it, as I discovered in my middle, rational years.  I do not understand the Incarnation.  I rejoice in it.”    - Madeleine L’Engle, “Bright Evening Star”
